Question
Hello and blessings!
There is a claim that some rabbis make, that in a sense the messiah has already arrived and the redemption has come in the fact that the world of Torah study and service of God are flourishing and growing (along with claims that this does not mean that the messiah himself will literally arrive, just as it is not clear that he will come on a white horse, etc.).
May I ask what the Rabbi’s opinion is about this?

In my opinion, he’ll arrive on a pink horse with wings.

In the Talmudic passage in the chapter Helek, King Shapur asks Rava why the messiah needs a donkey. “I would send him a swift horse.” Rava answers that the donkey has a unique quality: it is multicolored.

In the Wikipedia entry “The Messiah’s Donkey,” the words of Rabbi Hillel Gershuni are quoted in the name of the Iranologist Dr. Tamar Eilam Gindin, that the correct version in the Talmud is that Shmuel replies to Shapur: “Do you have a donkey of a thousand colors?” which in Persian means “a donkey with a thousand shades.”
The messiah will not ride a magnificent horse symbolizing pride and war, but rather a donkey symbolizing simplicity and humility. Through his humility and his ability to listen, the messiah will succeed in finding the “common denominator” that will bring humanity, in all its thousands of shades, to unity.

It sounds pretty reasonable that the messiah won’t come on a white horse; those were simply the concepts people had back then. So why not say that the messiah is a certain period that comes with the growth of Torah and Hasidism in the world?
