According to those who hold that migo is based on credibility, this is after all a generalization (we have no knowledge about the person standing before us, and there is here something like the rule of following the majority). If so, can one say that this is why we do not apply migo to extract money, because in monetary matters we do not follow the majority, and migo is based on majority?

What does it mean that migo is based on credibility? I do not understand the term.
Also a presumption is based on majority, such as the presumption that a person does not repay before the due date. And that does extract money.
Moreover, according to some of the medieval authorities (Rishonim), majority does extract money. What we rule, that in monetary matters we do not follow the majority, is a different issue altogether (that is, only with regard to a very specific kind of majority).
