I noticed that over the past week or two there has been a change in the number of views on each question.
The situation now is that every question that gets asked receives many dozens of views in less than an hour. After a few hours, each question already has a few hundred views.
In the past, the situation was that a question that was asked and answered only once (without any further comments) would get, in total, only a few dozen views overall.
Has something on the site been changed regarding the display of question views?
If no change was made, what suddenly caused such a drastic rise in the number of views on the questions?

It could be related to the new plugin that automatically translates all the pages into foreign languages.
Which translation plugin are you referring to? Something new here on the site?
Do a search on the site and you’ll get answers in Yiddish and other languages.

Or perhaps the number of views is rising because the number of viewers is growing? There are currently more than 3,000 subscribers.

Maybe, but a sudden and consistent jump within a few weeks is not all that likely.
Probably some bored clown made a 3-line script that scans the questions over and over however he likes. On sites like YouTube, where there are lots of attempts to influence the view counter (and that has social weight and also affects the audience and the algorithm), there are techniques for filtering unusual requests. Here, presumably, they didn’t see any need to deal with the issue.
