Mistakes by the prayer leader—when should one correct him, and when should one let it pass?
Instead of “You created Your world from of old” (Musaf for Sabbath and Rosh Chodesh), he says “You formed it,” or “Blessed are You, Lord, enemy of His people Israel…” instead of “lover.” Or “May Your kindness, Lord our God, be as we have hoped” instead of “May Your kindness, Lord, be upon us.”
Where is the line between patience and understanding—that not everyone is expert or fluent—and human dignity, so one should remain silent; and where should one make him go back and correct it?

Where the meaning changes, it is worth pointing it out. Even there, one should not get into arguments, and certainly not into insults. I don’t know how to give a more specific rule of thumb than that.
