Q&A: Lessons on Synthetic Thinking – Application as a Way of Life
Lessons on Synthetic Thinking – Application as a Way of Life
Question
Hello Rabbi,
Does the Rabbi have recorded lessons in the audio archive that deal with the subject of the wonderful book Truth and Unstable? That is, lessons that deal with the stages of philosophical maturation and the possibility of being rational and living in a stable world without stable truth?
I saw the series of lessons under the title ‘Faith, Doubt, and Certainty,’ listened to it, and enjoyed it very much. And I wanted to ask whether there are others that deal with this point and in greater depth? (It sounds like a really basic lesson for yeshiva students.) Because aside from that title I didn’t see any other lessons that deal with this topic…
And more generally, on the subject of synthetic thinking. And if there is something practical and applicable about the method by which, in the Rabbi’s view, a Jew or a believing person resolves the postmodern perplexity, that would be wonderful.
Thank you very much. And sorry if this is not the place to ask questions like these..
Answer
I don’t recall.
What I have to say about these matters appears in my books.
No problem. This is the place to ask anything.
