Q&A: How to Study?
How to Study?
Question
With God's help, on Friday eve of the holy Sabbath, after my decline I have had new pleasure, in honor of his distinguished Torah honor, our teacher Rabbi Michael Abraham, may he live long and well. With the help of the Rock of the Worlds (if He intervenes in our world), recently I have had the privilege of tasting a tiny bit of your writings (mainly columns and articles, and I also got my hands on the Quartet). Your immense Torah knowledge is evident, and therefore I wanted to ask, or perhaps request some advice: how does one study analytically/in depth? I mean mainly Talmudic analysis, and specifically independent study, since a yeshiva framework or Torah classes are currently unavailable to me, unfortunately.
Thank you in advance, and Sabbath peace 🙂
Answer
I don’t know what your background is or what options are available to you. I can’t answer such a general question. There are, of course, a great many online classes.
