Question

Rabbi Michi, hello!
Why did the Holy One, blessed be He, create us with the ability to enjoy material pleasures? For example, He could have created us with a desire to eat in order to sustain the body without enjoyment from the sense of taste, or to fulfill procreation without bodily pleasure. Is there a reason for this? Maybe someone wrote about it?
