Q&A: Is God Unable to Deal with Iron Chariots?
Is God Unable to Deal with Iron Chariots?
Question
Hello, I’d appreciate your help in understanding the verse below. On the face of it, it implies that God helped Judah dispossess the inhabitants of the hill country, but could not help dispossess the inhabitants of the valley because they had iron chariots. In other words, is iron God’s kryptonite?
And the Lord was with Judah, and he took possession of the hill country, but he could not dispossess the inhabitants of the valley, because they had iron chariots. (Judges 1:19)
Answer
Of course this is not an essential limitation on the Holy One, blessed be He’s ability. But perhaps there is a limitation here on His willingness to invest help. He does not perform an open miracle, only a hidden one.
But I don’t deal with biblical verses.

Why not, actually?
