Good afternoon!
There are people who worry that artificial intelligence will develop consciousness. And I’d like to ask: what would be so bad about that? After all, even if it were to have consciousness—which of course is impossible…—there’s no reason it would want to harm us. That’s because we too, even though we have consciousness, still our will is compelled by evolution. So if it were to have consciousness as well, its will would also be compelled by whatever was embedded in it, no?
