Q&A: Judah and Israel
Judah and Israel
Question
I saw a plan to divide the country gradually into 2 states: Judah and Israel.
Roughly from Tel Aviv northward would be Israel.
And southward, including Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Jerusalem, the territories, Ashdod port, Eilat, Dimona with its treasures, would go to Judah.
Of course the division would be more or less according to the majority of residents, and individuals could move without harm to their rights or property, on the basis of a constitution, values, education, etc.
Is that a good solution?
Each state would support itself, heal itself, and defend itself on its own, and a redeemer would come to Zion.
Whoever wants can build the Temple, expel Arabs to the best of his ability—he won’t be able to operate without the High Court of Justice and B’Tselem, etc.
And whoever wants can work, be inclusive, etc.
Each group could live according to its own values.
Is this a good idea in the impossible situation we’re in?
Answer
A wonderful idea, whose practicality is about the same as squaring the circle.
Discussion on Answer
I can’t reveal publicly what I know from sensitive places.
The situation is really not good.
And it’s not just that people are stopping their volunteering—
there’s also a crazy drop in motivation,
and in critical places.
I can’t elaborate.
I can say, though, and from actual knowledge, that it’s unclear how long we can survive like this.
Maybe division is the least bad solution there is right now?
Nothing will happen.
We’ll take a breath and keep going.
Enough with the ridiculous scare tactics and hysteria.
To the honorable Mr. Zapta dear sir,
1) With God’s help, the reform will pass almost in full, except for the override clause; that’s important and good for everyone.
2) After that, elections will be held, and in the end there will be a national unity government of Likud, Gantz, and Lapid.
3) That will be a true healing government, without the extremists, and for the rehabilitation of the sweet Haredi society that is captive in the hands of its wicked leaders.
4) Without Ben Gvir + Smotrich, without Haredim, without Arabs, without leftists (Labor, Meretz).
5) If after that you still want to split into Judah and Israel, you’re welcome to get lost to Australia.
Regards,
representative of the sane majority (Jews, Zionists, nationalists of all kinds)
There are plans that seem reasonable if done gradually.
There’s one in Maariv today.
Maybe not the most fun,
but better than the madness there is now, where those who defend, heal, and provide aren’t willing to keep carrying the burden.
