That is not exactly what he wrote. It seems to me that his claim was that this sentence is simply not true, and not that it is paradoxical. Which, of course, is itself incorrect. But I also do not agree with your formulation at all, since if the sentence is not true, it follows that it is true as well (and both true and not true at the same time).
