Q&A: Evidence from 7.10 for involvement and providence
Evidence from 7.10 for involvement and providence
Question
Many experts say that “all the stars aligned for Hamas,” while at the same time “none of the stars aligned for Israel,” and such an implausible combination of circumstances led to a tragic outcome on a colossal, global scale.
The best minds in the General Staff, the Shin Bet, and the command chain were in communication at least twice in the hours before the attack, and the very simplest order—to raise a basic level of alert throughout the sector—would apparently have caused Hamas not to launch the attack, or would have completely thwarted it, or at least would have resulted in a much smaller event.
Instead, they did almost nothing, perhaps only a few negligible actions that were fairly meaningless (the Tequila team).
Can this event—not only because of the enormous blow, but also because of how unlikely such a thing was to happen—not be seen as involvement and providence in the world, as part of a broader process?
Answer
It can, and it also can be seen otherwise.
