Q&A: Entering the government?
Entering the government?
Question
There are those who think that whoever is currently leading the government, given the question of the hostages' lives and his political interest, would not prefer his political interest over the lives of the hostages. But there are those who think he would prefer his political interest—even at the cost of the hostages' lives—and they have much evidence for their view.
According to the view of one who fears that he would prefer his own interest over the lives of the hostages, is it right to enter the government in order to give him backing so that he will not suffer a political loss in the immediate term, and thereby make it possible to save the hostages' lives (assuming that this is indeed what will happen and it is not just another round of Bibi-trickery), or perhaps this is such a bad and dangerous personality for the war as a whole and for governing the people that one must not throw him a lifeline even for a limited time, because the damages and disasters that he has caused, is causing, and will cause keep proving worse in new and surprising ways each time?
Answer
This is a general question that has no absolute answer.
