Question

A question regarding animal suffering and the Holy One, blessed be He.
We know that animals suffer, like we do—I mean physical pain. Whether it is a zebra being eaten alive by a lion, or a dog suffering from an illness, etc.
Is it not an injustice on the part of the Holy One, blessed be He, to create animals with almost no consciousness (presumably animals do have some thought, even if only a little) and let them suffer?
