I came across this article by a rabbi called Chen Shaulov. From looking at what he writes on his site, he seems like one of the crackpots; he strongly maintains that the earth is flat. But Maimonides' words are trustworthy for us: “Accept the truth from whoever says it,” and the nauseating quotations he brought in his rambling article from the editor of the Arizal's kabbalah, R. Chaim Vital, caused me to conclude that Vital deserves to be given the infamous epithet “may his name be blotted out.”
Here are a few selected quotations:

“Regarding Lilith, who kills children from eight days after their birth, and in the vernacular is called ‘Borosha’… I also tried [to make a remedy] then, and I placed the circumcised organ of a small boy in the infant’s mouth immediately when he was born, before he nursed… And indeed on other occasions I did all of the above and other things as well… and these are they: to place the circumcised organ of the newborn’s own father in the infant’s mouth before he nurses.”
“For epilepsy, they should take a boy who has never had a seminal emission in his life, and [people] should extract semen from him [that is, they should forcibly rub his sexual organ], and that emission and semen should be smeared on the lips of the sick person, and that illness will never return to him.”
“If you smear [that is, a person should smear] a girl’s breasts with pig’s milk before she knows a male, they will grow no more.” [that is, her breasts]

I won’t go on quoting, since the things are written out at length at the link above.
I would appreciate the master of this site addressing these sexual matters, and whether the things brought there in his name are indeed so.
My feeling from all this (and from other statements in books quoted in the article and in other books of Vital) is that the kabbalists in Safed were a sect full of perversions wrapped in mysticism. There was neither holiness nor Torah there, but rather control and lust. Only they managed to sweep it under the rug and convince the herd of idiots that the known things—which included matters of pedophilia, sexual perversions, abuse, and domination—were according to the esoteric tradition. Such is the hidden teaching, and perhaps it would have been better had it indeed remained hidden.
May we merit the coming of the righteous redeemer speedily in our days, amen.
