Yesterday the whole country got stirred up again (before the earthquake) over the fact that Idan Alexander’s mother thanked the whole world and called for unity, but did not thank the Prime Minister in her remarks. Does the Rabbi think that was intentional? And is it only fair to thank Bibi for every hostage who returns?

It is בהחלט appropriate to thank everyone involved. Certainly the army and the soldiers. While we’re at it, I’ll note what should be obvious. The one who brought about his release was not Trump, as they keep dripping into our ears from the Church of the Hostages. The ones who brought about his release were the army and the government, who are threatening to expand the operation. Only fear of that led Hamas to make gestures to Trump in order that he stop us. Exactly like the nonsense they keep repeating in that same church — that only deals bring hostages back and not fighting. To call that stupidity would be a compliment.
