Question
I think that when, according to a certain public group, an injustice has been done to it, then it would be better for it to point an accusing finger at the body that, in its view, is causing that injustice— the government, the police, the court, the Knesset—rather than block roads and disturb the general public. What do you think?
Answer
There is no way to appeal to that body, since that body has no reason to respond to criticism. That is why the concept of a demonstration or protest was created, and why they also allowed disturbing the public.

Let them be the ones who get bothered—why us? That’s logical, moral, and understandable. I don’t understand the other view. It’s just that the people at the top arranged things so they’d be left alone, apparently.
Bothering private individuals seems more problematic to me. Should an entire group descend on a district police commander or a particular judge?
I don’t know. Let them block the government complex where the police commissioner sits—he’s the head, he’s the one who decides—or the specific police hubs, or the courthouse, or the government, etc. After all, the specific person isn’t important. And bothering us, when we’re not connected and didn’t do anything, isn’t that problematic? And I don’t think it’s a good idea to harass private individuals.
First of all, I’m talking about illegal demonstrations. The kind that, officially, they didn’t allow, but they don’t enforce that—and non-enforcement is a problematic thing in itself. [It would already be better if it were legal, because this cheapens the law.] So let them block the government offices, and the other bodies I mentioned too, and go wild there. What do they want from us? By the way, usually I don’t see it helping except as a way to blow off steam, which in my opinion is actually good. I agree with you that in the case of the draft protests and the judicial reform protests, it did help. And it really does make those groups hated by the public, it really does.
