A poor enemy or a rich enemy?

שו"תA poor enemy or a rich enemy?
שאל לפני 4 שנים

A friend with whom I exchange opinions. (Mainly listen to his sermons)
And he is a real extremist with dangerous views on what to do for the people of Israel and how to 'educate' the people according to his dangerous (bordering on insane) path. Even if only a small percentage of his madness comes true, the people will suffer greatly.
In fact, he is registered in the kollel, comes, opens the gam, drinks tea and coffee, smokes, and chatters his crazy opinions outside, day after day, year after year. He studies an average of a few minutes a day.
Of course, it doesn't have a vision plan, goals, etc. It's just madness and not defined as a practical plan.
I asked him why he doesn't go to work and earn his living honestly and profitably, and not by cutting disputes and allowances?
In general, the answer is because he assumes that this is the only way to worship God.
Should teaching him the hardship of both forgetfulness of sin?
Or any Torah that is not accompanied by work ends in vain and leads to sin, and the Rambam says that anyone who sets his heart on engaging in Torah and not doing work and making a living from charity, then this one has blasphemed God, desecrated the Torah, extinguished the light of religion, caused harm to himself, and took his life from the world to come, and so on.
Or does the good of all Israel come first that he remain poor and undeveloped with his controversial chatter and allowances, and that he not go out into the world of action and, God willing, learn how to work and advance things?
Because who will correct its fate? (His ideas contain a real and immediate danger.)

What is the rabbi's advice on this?

It's always worth being more thoughtful. Maybe he'll understand and return to the good.
