Coercion in commandments
Hello Rabbi,
Following the discussion we had following post 447, the discussion got a bit complicated and I thought I'd move it here. The point that remains unclear to me is how the move you made in the post regarding the destruction of another's book and the will of others fits in with the fact that individuals have no coercive authority?

Who said that individuals do not have the authority to coerce? Quite simply, they do. As far as I remember, the dispute between the NTA and Shobab is about coercion to the point of death.
