Are you familiar with the thought of Akiva Ernst Simon?
Simon, in his article on the second innocence, presents an interesting idea. According to the child's belief, it is pure and innocent, but after it comes adolescence, in which the child gains wisdom and knowledge at school and university, and that innocence cracks or breaks. But this is not the end of the story, because it is possible to suggest another, more mature stage, in which the person integrates the innocence of his childhood and the wisdom of his adulthood, and this is the "second innocence."
I remembered you when I read this. You, too, in 'True and Unstable' present the third stage in the maturation process.
