Regarding Heaven and Hell

שו"תRegarding Heaven and Hell
שאל לפני שנה 1

I saw a podcast by the rabbi in which he talks about the concept of heaven and hell and says that it has no particular factual basis in Judaism.
In other words, the Rabbi sees the logical logic in it but does not see any source to believe in it (as far as I understand).
However, in the same podcast, the rabbi said that the Oral Torah and the Written Torah were the same.
And the Talmud discusses the afterlife several times:
"A goat faces hell, and a sheep faces heaven" (Mishnah, Avot 5:20).
"The judgment of the wicked in Gehenna, twelve months" (Mishnah, Testimonies 2:10).
"Establishing hell for the wicked, paradise for the righteous" (Babylonian Talmud, Eruvin 19a)
How does this fit in with the rabbi's beliefs?

If the Talmud conveys to me a tradition from Sinai on these matters, then of course I will accept it. But this is what is not clear to me: is it a tradition or an opinion? The opinion of the sages on such matters has no more status than my own.
