The principle of sufficient taste

שו"תThe principle of sufficient taste
שאל לפני 2 שנים

Hi Mikhi, I didn't understand the principle of sufficient taste or what it says, but I didn't understand why everything needs to have taste. After all, taste is a cause of purpose and will. So why does the world need taste and not have enough reason? (Of course, assuming that the world is ancient, which we know today is not true.)

Reason is a more inclusive concept than reason, but reason is a type of reason. For example, a person's free choice has no reasons (in the sense of something that caused that choice) but there are reasons. The laws of nature, if we assume that they always have been, have no reason, but we can still ask what their reason is, that is, what is responsible for them being the way they are.
