Why is it forbidden to use idolatry?
Why is it forbidden to use things that are idolatrous? I don't believe in that idolatry, so just because a few fools bow down to it, should he be considered a Muqtza for its own sake? What's wrong with that?

First, the prohibition on use is because of the prohibition on enjoyment of the tzaddik, not necessarily out of fear that you will come to work yourself. Just as there is a prohibition on enjoyment of the tzaddik or chametz on Passover. Second, there was once a desire for tzaddik, and then there probably was such a fear.
