Melody of the G major
Peace and blessings, Rabbi Michi,
What is the Rabbi's opinion regarding the Lutheran melody that accompanies "Maoz Tzur"? Does the Rabbi see this as a problem?
I would appreciate a reasoned answer.

What do I care about the origin of the melody? And is this the only place where melodies of dubious origin are used?
The melody is not a Haftsa of Az, and even if it were a Haftsa – it is an Az that is omitted (remove the name of Az from it).
