The Podcast with Moshe Redman – How to Change Perception
First of all, I enjoyed the podcast. I think this is the first time I've heard your perspective and am convinced – "passing smoothly through the throat", to the epic in the texts. Now for the question and finally another comment: You said that your friends Rabbis Lau and Stav, despite your identification, are not willing to give up the title "Zionist-Religious". And most importantly, you said that you also struggle with what you grew up with. I know for myself how difficult the struggle is and how hard it is to find a solution to it, to the point where I sometimes remain detached, and then prefer to return to "church" thinking, as you put it. For example: on the one hand, trying to think only practically in relation to security matters and therefore becoming a secular fascist without apologizing, on the other hand, the consciousness of the Khazarians and what they sold me in the first class regarding the history and intelligence of the Jewish people is truly convincing, and then the tendency arises to see the whole world only as a reflection of a great spiritual system. It is very difficult to detach from the past, especially since I identify with it and think that in part it is right (as Rabbi Stav probably thinks for this matter), however, over the years I have discovered that I am not that smart and certainly not right, who can promise me that leaving the church will take me to the independent and intellectually enlightened world? How do you do that? This? How do you do it? You said that it is also difficult for you to detach yourself, which means that you have a certain trust in classical religious thinking. And now a comment about Smotrich, I think you exaggerated his inferiority vis-à-vis the Haredim. I heard clearly from his spokesman and an advisor close to him that the reason for giving in to the Haredim is the fear of establishing some kind of change government, which would involve the Haredim in extensive cuts against economic and security considerations in Judea and Samaria. A pragmatic argument, not things derived from feelings of inferiority.
