Would you agree to speak on the above panel?
Hello Rabbi,
Would you be willing to participate in the panel in question in the attached link? (Am;Lak: A conference initiated by Rabbi Ido Fichter that discusses Halacha in the light of Israeliism – how Halacha can be transformed from a divisive factor into a unifying one)
https://matan.tickchak.co.il/46648
It sounds to me like a very populist conference that will lead to nothing, and will essentially be a self-resonance of the participants, but maybe I'm wrong.
In general, I recognize that your opinion regarding the observance of a mitzvah by a person who does not see himself as legally obligated is not worth much (if anything at all), but does anything in this panel resonate with you?
I ask because on the one hand, you certainly have something to say about determining and changing a law, but it seems to me that the essence of the panel itself is unacceptable in your opinion (of course, I could be wrong).
I mean, my question is: Do you think this panel is a waste of time in the first place or is it worth hearing what's going on there, and if so, why?
