In honor of Rabbi Michael Abraham. I am a Haredi young man who of course grew up with the most dogmatic approach possible in Judaism. In recent years, you could say that as a result of my exposure to your books and articles, I lost faith in its Haredi sense and progressed together with you and your books toward a rather empty place. And by empty I mean that beyond recognizing that there is some unknown supernatural entity, I have nothing at all in my head. I very much want to meet you, as the only person whom I feel can be relied upon philosophically and with whom these matters can be discussed. I make this request with great pleading, since I am after all only some beginning skeptic, and you are certainly a very busy person. But—and this is a big but—you could say that because of you I merited to emerge from darkness into the light of maturity. Your articles, as a believing person, caused my earlier opinions to fall asleep and allowed my consciousness, while reading, to open up to real skepticism, and not the style of “Rabbi Nogerchel” or “Rabbi Uri Zohar.” In short: “You started it, you finish it.” Know that I am suffering a great deal. I need help with matters of faith, and my impression is that you are the only person who can help, and I have also seen here and there in the comments that you are willing to discuss these matters even with someone you do not know.
