Hello Rabbi, I read the column about the homilies prompted by the coronavirus, and a question came to mind that is indirectly related. I wanted to ask how the Rabbi prepares for a holiday from a religious perspective (setting aside preparing the house and the various foods). That is, there is of course a halakhic side, but does the Rabbi see a possibility of preparing intellectually/spiritually, and if so, I would be glad to know how?

I do not prepare intellectually/spiritually. I do occasionally think about what the holiday means to me, but that can differ from one person to another. I also do not think that my conclusions are truly the meaning of the holiday in any objective sense.
