Q&A: Wave of Terror
Wave of Terror
Question
We are once again witnessing an outbreak of a wave of Arab terror attacks, and blood is again being spilled in the streets. But I have the feeling that once again people are trying to divert attention from the real problem, and it is critical to identify the problem, because otherwise it is impossible to plan a solution.
They try to sell us the idea that this terrorist was ISIS, and that terrorist is actually mentally ill, and that one did it because he was hungry and had nothing to eat, and look, the Joint List condemned it, and the Palestinian Authority condemns it. They try to create the impression that these are only “extremists” (preferably adding “on both sides”) who are trying to harm the wonderful coexistence between Jews and Arabs, etc., and if anyone is to blame, it is actually Israel, which “oppresses the poor Palestinian people.”
Hasn’t the time come to look the problem in the eye and admit that the real problem is Islamic culture, which glorifies shahids, educates toward terror, and causes chaos, destruction, and blood wherever its believers are found?
Will we go on rolling our eyes and finding each terrorist a different excuse for what caused him to attack, or will we honestly admit that what drives Hezbollah in Lebanon, ISIS in Iraq, the Houthis in Yemen, the Iranians, and the terrorists in Europe is exactly what drives the terrorists here in Israel: the culture they come from.
As they say: “Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but 99.9% of terrorists are Muslims.”
Does the Rabbi agree, or is it not politically correct and liberal enough to say something so racist?

Discussion on Answer
There is a weak reason, but a valid one…
If someone takes over your land, subjugates you, and the only way is terror, maybe that’s the reason??
See, for example, the Irgun and Lehi around 1940…
And likewise throughout all of history [today in Ukraine].
Even in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) there is the story of the four kings who took over territories, and our forefather Abraham went out to free his cousin Lot in war [in today’s language, terror].
It’s a painful explanation, but a true one.
The only way is to try to make peace! [Egypt and Jordan, for example] to provide them with work, housing, education, and so on.
How does this “painful explanation” explain Iran wanting to destroy us?
And that ISIS beheads people in Iraq?
All the wars in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, etc.?
All the terror attacks in the United States and in Europe? Did they “take over Muslim lands” there too? If anyone took over, it was the Muslims who flooded Europe, and they were received there as warmly as possible and were provided with housing, education, work, etc.
And what about the anti-Semitic mufti al-Husseini, who helped Hitler even before the state was established?
And what about the 1929 Hebron massacre?
Although I am fairly confident in my opinion, I am completely open to hearing other views, and I’m interested in what you think about it.
