Q&A: The Rabbi’s Weekly Bulletin
The Rabbi’s Weekly Bulletin
Question
Dear Rabbi, hello,
A suggestion
Not only I, but everyone sees before their eyes the confusion spreading through all the camps, and I think that especially after the recent columns, the Rabbi can positively influence all the camps.
maybe the Rabbi should put out a weekly bulletin
With blessings,
the students
Answer
Good thing they didn’t sign here “The Awakeners.” 🙂
I don’t know whether you noticed, but I do put out a weekly bulletin, and even more frequently than that. I am of course referring to the posts here on the site.
Discussion on Answer
Excellent. So it can be printed ahead of time and read then. Do you want me, instead of that, to print it for everyone and mail it to everyone? That doesn’t sound reasonable to me.
No need to be cynical. You can print it and place it in the synagogue; I volunteer to distribute it in my area.
I really want to create change in society at large, and certainly in the Haredi public.
And I believe the Rabbi is the key. Everyone else, with all due respect, doesn’t have a personally produced Torah library like the Rabbi’s, and they don’t have the brains or the courage.
I’m really not being cynical. Does it sound reasonable to you that besides the investment of time, writing, and money (Oren’s), I’m also supposed to spend money and time on printing? Anyone who is interested can print it. Besides, these columns are of interest to certain people, and there is no logic in distributing them in piles in synagogues along with all the other junk pamphlets.
A. So what can be done to wake people up and get them out of their nonsense?
B. I saw that the Rabbi is going to come to the Anshei Chayil study hall on Wednesday. What is the Rabbi going to speak about?
It’s a panel on coercion and pressure in Haredi society and in general. In preparation for Shavuot.
Is there a post that talks about this issue?
No
I don’t know if you noticed, but it’s still forbidden to read on the site on the Sabbath,
which is when everyone studies / reads / talks.
The Awakeners
P.S. the writer means this seriously.
