Q&A: How do you think the people who returned from reserve duty will be?
How do you think the people who returned from reserve duty will be?
Question
After a long period in which reserve soldiers were on reserve duty and exposed to difficult sights, I assume many will suffer from post-trauma. How do you think, based on past experience from previous wars, this will show itself?
Do you think people will chase money less, and maybe prefer meaningful security service over high-tech, or will we return to routine very quickly?
Or will people prefer, instead of chasing the rat race and life “outside,” to turn inward and build a family?
What should we do for them on the home front? Ask them questions, or דווקא leave them alone?
Are there also recommendations in the sources for how to behave with people who returned from war?
And from your perspective, how do you see whether they will be able to fight in the near future on additional fronts if they are worn down?
Answer
I’m not the right address for these questions. I also very strongly recommend not using recommendations from the sources.
