My question is this:
What did the kabbalists gain by answering their difficulty—how is it possible that from one Creator, who is non-physical, multiplicity and physicality emerged? To deal with this they posited intermediaries between Him and us and called them sefirot. But what did they gain by that? The very same question can be asked about the first intermediary they placed between us and the Creator. Is it not a trillion million parasangs removed from the Creator? And how was it created?

Ask them. I’m not bothered by the question, and therefore I’m not interested in the quality of the answer.

Their answer didn’t help with the original question, but it did clarify, ever so slightly, some kind of apprehension or grasp, on some level, of divinity (according to their view).
I don’t see any problem with multiplicity emerging from God.

I’ll try to summon them from the dead, because the ones around today don’t know their right from their left—they’re familiar with neither the question nor, certainly, the answer.
What do you mean that you’re not troubled by this philosophical question? Simply because we don’t understand at all how He exists in the first place, etc., so then what kind of question is it how He created?
Or do you have some other understanding?
