peace!
I looked at your website and was very impressed by your way of thinking and the skepticism you display.
I came across a post where you stated that you believe that many religious beliefs are based on a kernel of truth, but that there are many additions that have accumulated over the years. Your conclusion was that God probably took this into account and therefore you will do the commandments that are there.
As a secular person, I came to a different conclusion from the same arguments – even if there is a kernel of truth, the commandments that have been created over the years and the character and attributes that have been attributed to God are far from reality. They are human. Therefore, I see no value in keeping human commandments (and here I will insert a criticism that is not intended to offend but seems important to me – many of them I feel were created for the convenience of the existence of religious communities in the past and present).
I'm interested in knowing what you think on the subject, and again, my intention was not to offend, but to satisfy my curiosity regarding the opinions of wiser people than me who come from fields different from those familiar to me.
Here is a link to the song in question https://mikyab.net/%D7%A9%D7%95%D7%AA/%D7%A2%D7%9C-%D7%AA%D7%95%D7%A8%D7%94-%D7%9E%D7%9F-%D7%94%D7%A9%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%9D
Thank you very much and have a nice day!

There is no harm done. Any claim that arises can be discussed. These developments were created as an interpretation of the commandments written in the Torah, and therefore, from my perspective, they are the binding (even if not the authentic) interpretation of those commandments. They did not invent things out of thin air. Beyond that, if God Himself left the interpretation open, He probably gave us the authority and right to interpret. And beyond that, the Torah itself contains a commandment to "not deviate" to obey the sages. In other words, the Torah itself tells us to obey, even if they are not necessarily right. Just as obedience to the Knesset is not conditioned on the law being right or agreed upon (except in extreme cases of manifest illegality, etc.). But you are right that there are quite a few additions that can be dispensed with. Those that were added by unqualified parties and do not seem correct. The conservative instinct created in the wake of the Enlightenment and the Reformation causes us to grasp at everything without discrimination. That is why I wrote my trilogy in which I present both sides of this coin.
