The Rabbi’s Books

Question

Thank you very much for the wonderful content. I listen and really enjoy it. I think this site, where one can ask questions, deserves a great deal of appreciation for the responsiveness and the investment of time, so thank you.
I saw several of your debates on YouTube and was very impressed. I’d be happy to broaden my understanding, and I saw that you have books. I’m interested in the topic of God’s existence, but I’m not used to philosophical or scientific terminology (though I think I’d understand the ideas). Do you have a book written in a lighter, more accessible style that you could recommend?
And one more thing: I heard one of the Rabbi’s debates, and you discussed there the argument from design. I tried listening a few times before asking, but my question is this: if we assume that some sort of entity exists that designed the world, but we certainly have no grasp of it, how can we conclude that it wants something, or conclude anything about it at all, if in any case there will be things we’ll have to say are beyond our grasp? Thanks in advance.

Answer

In my book The First Existent, I deal with both questions. I don’t think it’s light reading, but in my opinion it is בהחלט understandable.
