It seems that many (most?) New York Jews think that Mamdani is good and advances their values at the local level, yet it seems that his success would interfere with the Jewish state (though some disagree). If this common perception is correct, what should a good New York Jew do?

I can’t answer that question. The question is how good he is for them and how bad he is for us. By the way, Mamdani does not really interfere with the Jewish state. He doesn’t have the slightest influence on what happens to us. His influence is on New York Jews.

Utter nonsense. What kind of New York Jews are you talking about? Leftists / Reform / Conservative / Modern Orthodox / Haredi / Satmar / Taliban types (= actually not a bad partnership with Mamdani…).
And why is he good—what values exactly is he promoting???
