The Rabbi’s Presence on the Site

Question

With God’s help,
Greetings. I was unsure about the following theological question:
Did the Rabbi make the site? If so, is he still watching over the site and intervening in what goes on there, or perhaps—has Michi left the land altogether? Like God… (but once he did watch over it).
Maybe the Rabbi can solve the riddle.

Answer

🙂
There are policy changes in space too, not only in time.

Discussion on Answer

Rabbi Michi,
Apparently the Rabbi is aware of this generation’s distress over questions of faith of the scientific sort, yet chooses specifically to answer questions of morality and Torah.
Why?
(Not that it isn’t important… it’s just that few rabbis are familiar with the scientific field).

Michi (2017-03-24)

I haven’t noticed any such policy on the site. I answer every question to the best of my ability, and I’ve dealt quite a bit with scientific questions too. If you mean the abiogenesis thread, I felt the discussion had drifted and there was no point in continuing. Beyond that, I referred people to my articles and my books, and everything has already been discussed there.

Since we’re already on humorous questions and going with the flow, this is a good place to point out that there are a few people here with the same names.
There are at least 3 Yitzhaks here, and I hope all their questions aren’t being taken as if they were asked by the same person (some of them are embarrassing, at least to me). I assume the same is true of other names too.

What does “policy changes in space” mean?
Not all of us are fluent in the entire Talmud and physics.

Michi (2017-03-30)

Nothing too sophisticated.
They asked whether I’m involved, and did so by way of comparison to the Holy One’s involvement in the world. To that I replied that there are places on the site where I am, and places where I’m not (when I feel things have run their course or control has been lost). Regarding the Holy One’s intervention in the world, I wrote that there are policy changes over time (there are times when He is involved and times when less so, or maybe not at all), and by way of the comparison in the question I answered that so too there are policy changes on my part in space (that there are places where I am involved and places where I am not).

The Rabbi not only made the site, he continues to develop it; the more the site’s glory increases, the more those who drink in his words will be refreshed in their thirst! More power to Rabbi Michael!
