God as an Entity Without a Definition
Question
Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to know: what do all the proofs for God help if we are not proving His essence?
After all, in practice we have not defined anything. We do not have the faintest idea what He is, and it is not even clear that one can speak about His existence.
It is as if one believes in nothing. Isn't that so?<
Answer
See Notebook Five.
Discussion on Answer
See chapter 2.
I couldn't find it. Could you give a page number? I assume you meant the beginning. But all those examples are only about God's actions, not His essence.
