In recent days the election propaganda has been intensifying, and as part of this the Haredi parties have been repeatedly using, in different ways, the commandment “and you shall do according to what they instruct you.” Does this have any halakhic or ideological validity, and in general what is the Rabbi’s opinion on the matter? (“Da’at Torah,” etc.)

Halakhically, this is nonsense. Ideologically, it depends on whether you truly trust rabbis’ ability (especially the ones being referred to here) to see political reality more deeply and accurately, and of course whether they are considering the relevant factors. I do not have that trust.
