As we stand before the municipal elections (all the advertising has already gone up, etc.), I wanted to know the honorable Rabbi’s opinion: which party should one vote for?
2. And is there any obligation at all to vote for a party that protects our religion? If one does not vote at all, and we had the power to strengthen religion in the state but did not go vote, is there any aspect of prohibition / transgression in that?

I have no idea who is on the ballot there. In general, at least in national elections, one should be careful not to vote for a religious party. In local elections it depends on the place and on the type of issues involved.
There are no commandments or transgressions here.

Mainly desecration of God’s name, but also on the merits, those parties are mostly harmful.
Aren’t you concerned that this makes you a partner in undermining religion through all the secular people who desecrate the Sabbath, etc.?
And also, what do you mean by desecration of God’s name?
If I were concerned, I wouldn’t have written what I wrote. Desecration of God’s name means corruption, racism, primitiveness, and draft-dodging. A crushing combination found in all the religious parties, every last one of them.
And religious coercion.

Does the Rabbi mean every party whose members are religious, or one that is defined as religious? Because I know parties in certain cities made up of religious people (national-religious) who really do look after the good of the city and who are not corrupt (unlike the mayor, who in my opinion is actually the corrupt one). So what would be the problem with voting for such a party?
Obviously I mean only religious parties. And I wrote that this is only for national elections.
Why not vote for a religious party? What’s wrong with it?
