Q&A: Regarding the Upcoming Elections
Regarding the Upcoming Elections
Question
Hello Rabbi,
It seems that in the upcoming elections Sa'ar will join forces with Gantz. Who are you planning to vote for this time, and why?
Best regards,
Answer
I have no idea. For now, my policy is to vote for whoever will most effectively bring about Bibi’s removal from the political arena. As for everything else, they all look the same to me.
Discussion on Answer
Could I get a reference to a place where you lay out your arguments against Bibi?
I don’t remember any particular place.
What about “Anyone But the Haredim” — is that less important than “Anyone But Bibi”?
Fortunately, there’s no dilemma. Corruption and Haredi-ism go hand in hand (as usual), so you can oppose both with no contradiction at all. Opposing the Bibi-Haredi coalition is almost the same as opposing Bibi.
The only one who opposes both is Liberman, no?
Indeed, he’s the sharpest on that front. From time to time I consider voting for him. But I have reservations about his personality, his party, and more.
On the other hand, the other parties suck up to the Haredim because they need them for a coalition. So who is it preferable to vote for?
Don’t know.

To Rabbi Michael Abraham — many greetings,
I see that you oppose “Milk” — an acronym for: “Haredim, Liberman, Bibi.” You also abstain from “meat.” So if it’s neither “milk” nor “meat,” that leaves you only with the “Vegetarians’ Party.”
I would have suggested Meretz, formerly headed by “Nitzan,” but from what I hear he has announced that he will not continue to lead. So what do you think, then, about Yamina, headed by Ms. “Shaked”?

If one avoids milk and meat, then there is indeed a party among whose members the silver carp holds a place of honor!
In short, I’m a proud member of the “Anyone But Bibi” party (I head the party’s proud chapter).
