Q&A: Elections
Elections
Question
Hello Rabbi,
Who are you voting for in the upcoming elections?
Thank you very much
Answer
I still don't know. Probably for Sa'ar. Bennett and Shaked are good and talented people, but they will take part in forming another corruption coalition (with Bibi and the Haredim), and that is something I am not willing to lend a hand to.
Discussion on Answer
What do you think about voting for Zalicha?
Sa'ar together with the left will separate the people from the state (through the High Court of Justice). And also separate common sense from the state. They will establish a coalition of stupidity. And we have a tradition from my father's house that it is better to have a wicked person than a fool (according to the Rabbi's view that Bibi and the Haredim are wicked people (and I too am very bothered by Bibi's going with the Haredim every time. But truthfully he really has no choice)).
And given the observation that the left is even more corrupt than the Rabbi attributes to Bibi and the Haredim (both regarding an unaccountable dictatorship on the part of the High Court of Justice, which chooses itself, and also regarding the fact that they themselves would pay the Haredim much more in order to get them to go with them, as our own eyes have seen and not merely heard), and also given the invention of various narratives and the denial of the concept of truth (except when it is convenient for them. Then there is truth), I simply do not understand how any sane person can vote for them at all.
I have no trust in him whatsoever. He seems to me like a charlatan and a populist.
And another incentive to vote for Sa'ar. Whoever votes for him will merit to receive the maftir reading of Jonah, as it is written there: "For on my account this great storm is upon you" 🙂
With the blessing, "Sustain me with a willing spirit," Sason Yishakha
