Q&A: Secular Books
Secular Books
Question
Hello Rabbi,
Could you please recommend some enlightening, broadening nonfiction books for an ordinary reader? Not necessarily philosophy—more like enriching general-interest books. I saw that you recommended a book by Scott Aaronson, but I’m not sure how much I’d understand from it, and besides, the book costs about as much as the number of pages it has. Do you have books in that style that enriched your own knowledge?
Thank you!
Answer
Hello.
That’s too general a question. There are many useful and interesting books, and it also depends on your areas of interest, education, and inclinations. You need to start reading books and let things develop according to your own understanding. There’s no need to look for general algorithms.
