Q&A: Bringing First-Fruits in Jerusalem
Bringing First-Fruits in Jerusalem
Question
Hello Rabbi,
Following up on my question and the Rabbi’s answer regarding first-fruits in Jerusalem, I wrote a draft article on the topic. If possible, I would be happy if the Rabbi would read it. I’ll just note that I’m not a learned Talmudic scholar and/or a yeshiva graduate, so please expect a level accordingly J. Of course, I’d be very glad to receive any comments.
Thank you,
Answer
Hello,
The article is certainly interesting and original. The topic is not discussed all that much by the commentators. See several comments I wrote in the body of the article.
You actually do seem to me quite learned (though there are topics in the article that could of course be expanded on much more, such as a commandment fulfilled through a transgression on the rabbinic level, and whether that applies only to the object itself and whether only at the time of the act, and the like).
All the best, and may your strength be for Torah.
Thank you very much for the feedback and for the important comments—I really appreciate it. God willing, I’ll correct what needs to be corrected.
Best regards,
