Hello, as a rabbi and a physicist, it seems appropriate—and would be very interesting—to hear your opinion.
 
What do you think about psychedelic drugs such as LSD, DMT, and the like?
 
It seems like a very interesting area. I haven’t had the chance to try them, but I’ve read and heard that they provide a kind of sharpening of the senses, certain insights, and so on.
 
The halakhic position seems fairly clear: if the assumption is that this causes significant harm, then “and you shall guard yourselves,” etc. But that’s hard to assess, and besides that, I’m more interested in what your actual opinion of these substances is.
