Beyond that, the Jewish tradition is more flexible than the Christian one. The struggle between atheists and believers (I’m not talking about religious coercion but about a struggle over worldviews) in Israel is at a much lower intensity than in the United States.

A scientist in Israel who claims that God exists is met with contempt and called ignorant.
