Q&A: Admiration
Admiration
Question
Thank you very much for the nice column on admiration. Now, if I may ask, please write us a column about the effect on those who are admired. After all, it is no secret that you are a much-admired person (or even revered). Maybe you could share with us, and perhaps teach us, how one deals with that, since there is also a chance that your readers too will one day be admired.
Answer
I didn’t understand the request (beyond your assumption, whose correctness I’m not at all sure of). Do you mean the effect of those who are admired, or the effect on those who are admired? Either way, I don’t think such a column will be written. I don’t feel admired, and therefore I don’t deal with it in any way that I’m aware of.
Discussion on Answer
Absolutely not. I suggest ending this personal discussion.
Are you serious? You don’t feel that everywhere you go people want to hear what you have to say? Don’t you walk around in the street or lie in bed thinking, I’m one of the smartest people on the planet? I’m asking seriously.
