Question

With God’s help,
From what I checked online, the approach is that inducing labor in a case of being past the due date (week 41) is forbidden from a halakhic standpoint unless there is a medical reason for it. However, I haven’t seen anyone give a rationale or halakhic source for this. I would be glad if the Rabbi could shed some light on this topic for me; it’s a bit urgent!
