Why Do I Think I’m Right????

Question

Hello, honorable Rabbi,
Why is it that in an argument a person thinks he is right and not the other one—after all, you can’t know!!!
It’s simply clear to me that it makes no sense to think that I’m the one who is right in an argument against so many people. For example:
Why is it that when Reuven argues with Shimon, Levi and Yehuda don’t know who is right [they have no idea], but when Levi joins the matter and it is clear to him like Shimon, and Yehuda joins the matter and it is clear to him like Reuven, [Reuven/Yehuda, Shimon/Levi] it is clear to all of them that they are right—but what’s striking is that for Zevulun it is still not clear who is right!!!! Only to the ones arguing is it clear, and that is very puzzling!!!!!! But all this is just an introduction to this:
To me it seems arrogant to say that billions of people spoke [very wise people,] and reached the conclusion that there is no God, yet to me and my friends [even if they are no less wise] the opposite is clear, and that this is what is true—that is arrogance. So I ask: can one conclude from this that the Torah wants us to believe even without knowledge, since so many people disagree with us and therefore apparently it is impossible to know??? But apparently I’m sawing off the branch I’m sitting on, since the Rabbi does not agree with me, and nevertheless I think I’m right, [unbelievable what arrogance] [in this case, regardless of the claim, I need to rely on the Rabbi anyway, so in any case:] I would be very glad to know why the Rabbi wrote to Yehuda Avraham in the responsum “How Can I Know” in this wording:
“I oppose your methodological basic assumption, according to which one should form a position based on what smart people think. Smart people think in all directions and on all sides. That way you won’t get anywhere. You need to form a position by yourself.” What does that mean, and why think that we are the wise ones, when it is possible that just as they are mistaken, so are we??? I would be very glad to hear an answer. Thank you.

It’s true that the Rabbi doesn’t need [and rightly so] to write again and again to everyone who didn’t understand, [obviously the Rabbi doesn’t have time for that]
but in the end I still didn’t come away with an answer, [apparently I simply didn’t understand]
So I’d like to ask for an answer from someone who has more time to reply here. All the rest of you on the site—did you understand the answer? In the end, does anyone have an understanding of this? [If so, please write; the issue is bothering me.]
