Question

Hello and greetings,
How does the Rabbi explain the penetration of apocalyptic ideas into the Bible? Seemingly, apocalypse is opposed to prophecy mainly in that it takes away from a person the duty of responsibility for his actions, since whatever will happen will happen, with no dependence at all between human actions and their consequences?
