Hello,
Do you think there will be an apocalypse on a scale that affects billions within the next hundred years?
Here are some possible reasons –
Global warming that will force hundreds of millions or more to relocate.
Food shortages.
Water shortages.
Some problem that will arise as a result of the extinction of certain animal or plant species, which in turn will lead to severe problems.
Nuclear wars—after all, every country with even a little status will eventually want nuclear weapons.
Class war, for example the poor rebelling against the rich in certain countries.
A cult or cults that manage to take over the minds of hundreds of millions or more and, through a kind of brainwashing, cause them to do crazy and very evil things.
A tsunami hitting entire countries.
Raw materials that are considered basic today simply running out technically, with no substitutes found for them.
Something happening to the digital world—and maybe nothing will happen to human life directly, but something will go wrong with technology and we'll go back to a pre-technological age (for example, if essential raw materials for some vital chips run out and no substitutes are found).
A pandemic like COVID, only much worse (with tens of percent dying, for example).
Something going wrong with the rain, and the rain becoming toxic or acidic.
